2. Shipping Responsibility

Seller Responsibilities

  • Accurately describe shipping costs and methods
  • Package items securely to prevent damage
  • Ship items within the agreed timeframe
  • Provide tracking information when available
  • Ensure items comply with shipping regulations

Buyer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate delivery address
  • Be available to receive deliveries
  • Inspect items upon delivery
  • Report any issues promptly

3. Delivery Options

Standard Delivery

  • Delivery Time: 3-7 business days
  • Cost: As specified by seller
  • Tracking: Available for most shipments
  • Suitable for: Non-urgent deliveries

Express Delivery

  • Delivery Time: 1-3 business days
  • Cost: Higher than standard delivery
  • Tracking: Real-time tracking available
  • Suitable for: Time-sensitive deliveries

Local Pickup

  • Delivery Time: Immediate
  • Cost: Free
  • Location: NMIMS campus or agreed meeting points
  • Suitable for: Local buyers and sellers

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are determined by the seller and may vary based on:

  • Item weight and dimensions
  • Delivery distance
  • Chosen delivery speed
  • Packaging requirements
  • Insurance options

All shipping costs are clearly displayed during checkout and are payable by the buyer unless otherwise agreed.

5. Delivery Timeframes

Processing Time

  • Standard Items: 1-2 business days
  • Custom Orders: As agreed with seller
  • High-Demand Items: May take longer due to availability

Transit Time

  • Local Delivery: Same day or next day
  • Within State: 2-5 business days
  • Inter-State: 3-7 business days
  • International: 7-14 business days or more

6. International Shipping

Campus Thrift supports international shipping with the following considerations:

  • Customs duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility
  • International shipping may be subject to additional regulations
  • Delivery times may be longer due to customs clearance
  • Not all items are eligible for international shipping
  • Sellers should clearly indicate international shipping availability

7. Tracking & Updates

Sellers are encouraged to provide tracking information:

  • Tracking numbers will be shared via email and platform messages
  • Buyers can track their orders through the provided links
  • Delivery updates will be communicated promptly
  • Any delays will be communicated with revised delivery estimates

8. Delivery Issues

Failed Delivery

If a delivery fails due to incorrect address or recipient unavailability:

  • Buyers will be contacted for address correction
  • Additional delivery attempts may incur extra charges
  • Items may be returned to seller if undeliverable
  • Refunds may be issued at seller's discretion

Damaged Items

  • Report damage immediately upon delivery
  • Take photos as evidence
  • Contact seller and Campus Thrift support
  • Claims must be made within 48 hours of delivery

9. Returns & Exchanges

Return policies are set by individual sellers. Common practices include:

  • Items must be in original condition
  • Return shipping costs may apply
  • Return windows typically 7-30 days
  • Some items may be non-returnable
  • All returns processed through Campus Thrift platform
